Tim Casale, guidance counselor at Garden City High School, recently spent four days as part of the University of Southern California’s Fly-In Counselor Program.
“Very few counselors from across the country were invited,” explained director of guidance Gina Christel. “Tim was one of only 36 counselors included in the all-expense paid trip.”
Casale was provided with a tour of USC’s campus, introduced to deans from all 13 of their undergraduate schools, met with the athletic director and toured the surrounding area.

“We interviewed students and got an up-close and personal look at the admissions office including how they process applications and what they look for in students that apply,” Casale explained. “I was excited and honored to be chosen for the USC Counselor Fly-In. The trip was a great opportunity to visit a university with a strong reputation, connect with our alumni and network with counselors across the country.”
