Understand subsidiary right sales as well as special and premium right sales. Explore effective Internet marketing and promotion. Even learn how to research the competition before you write your book! There will be handouts and a question and answer period.
Kardys has 30 years of diversified publishing experience for nine major publishing corporations. Kardys was director of contracts for Warner Books/Little, Brown & Company, director of contracts at Macmillan Publishing Company, Charles Scribner's Sons, and contracts director at Prentice Hall/Simon & Schuster.

She has worked at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Doubleday, Scholastic, Lippincott & Crowell, Publishers, St. Martin's Press, Conde Nast Publications and Google. Beginning her career in editorial, Kardys also worked in art and production in school publishing. In addition to her work as a literary agent, she created Unicorn Writers' Conference, which will host its second conference April 9 in Portland, CT.
