Annual Garden City PTA Dinner Draws Hundreds

Proceeds fund many programs, including the fifth grade Metropolitan Opera trip.

On March 24, 2011, the Garden City PTA hosted its annual PTA dinner at the Inn at New Hyde Park, a wonderful evening attended by 350 parents, teachers, administrators and Board of Education members.

LMS Entertainment donated the music and photo montage. Guests enjoyed a fun evening with friends that included dancing and the debut of the balloon pop raffle!

Over 50 raffle baskets were created by donations from many local businesses and parents. Also available were “class baskets” that were prepared using donations from parents that were collected at back-to-school nights in September.

A special thank you goes to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum for the very generous donation of two complimentary admission tickets for each guest. Salon Beyond also donated a complimentary salon service to each guest. Delicious centerpieces were donated by Rollin’ Scone NYC.

A surprise appearance by George Clooney provided many a photo op for the attendees. Unfortunately for many, it was a wax version of the real thing!
