Annual healthcare policy roundtable at Adelphi University

All are invited to join the conversation: 2035: Healthcare beyond Long Island

Adelphi University Center for Health Innovation (CHI) will host their second annual health policy roundtable, 2035: Healthcare Beyond Long Island, on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will take place at Alumni House, 154 Cambridge Avenue in Garden City. Light refreshments will be served.

This roundtable event is open to all interested attendees; experts from the fields of medicine and economics will discuss the rapidly changing healthcare environment. Panelists will talk about the broader implications of the Affordable Care Act, older Americans living longer, the aging baby boomer generation and how the current health system needs to be able to manage these varying types of care.

“It makes sense to convene a group with a diverse background from hospital systems of different sizes, insurance and economics, to offer varied expert observations on where healthcare is and where it is going.” said Meghan McPherson, coordinator of Center for Health Innovation.

The panel will feature
