Billy Joel Rocks The (Renovated) House

The Piano Man blew the crowd away with a nearly three-hour show to inaugurate the renovated Nassau Coliseum.

Billy Joel came home to Long Island Wednesday night when he played the first song at the newly renovated Nassau Coliseum.

The Piano Man sold out the 16,000-seat venue, and kept everyone on their feet for his nearly three-hour-long show. Joel played 33 songs (in honor of the 33 times he's played the venue). It was the first show for the new Coliseum, which just completed a $165 million renovation.

Joel's set list included famous hits like "Piano Man," "Movin' Out," and "We Didn't Start the Fire," along with some of his deeper tracks, like "Zanzibar" and "Sleeping with the Television On."

Joel' also brought out a few guests, all of whom were also intrinsically linked to the area. Long Island rocker Joan Jett joined him to perform her songs "I Hate Myself for Loving You" and "I Love Rock 'n' Roll." Kevin James and Leah Remini came out and danced while Joel sang "She's Got a Way."

By all accounts, the performance was one for the books, and a fantastic way to open up the renovated Nassau Coliseum.
