Boys Soccer Loses to Jericho
A tough loss but the GC boys finish the season in second place in Conference A-1 and will look to make noise in the playoffs.
The Trojans end their regular season with a disappointing 2-0 loss to Jericho on Thursday. The match was tightly contested throughout with Jericho getting on top with an early goal and sealing the victory late in the game with a second score. The Jericho defense stood strong throughout the match as GC had several good looks at the goal only to be denied by the crossbar in the first half and the Jericho sweeper in the second half.
The boys finish the season with a stellar 8-2-2 record and currently sit in second place behind Conference A-1 champ Wantagh. Coach Paul Cutter and assistant Tom Skrivanek will get the boys ready this week to hopefully make a long run in the playoffs.
