Burglary Arrest Leads Officers To Man's Child Porn Stash: Police
Police say they arrested the man for stealing from his girlfriend's roommate, and then found the child pornography on his computer.

GARDEN CITY, NY — A call for a burglary led police to arresting a Garden City man for multiple counts of possessing child pornography, Nassau Police said.
According to police, officers received a call at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10 for a burglary on County Courthouse Road. When they arrived, police say the officers discovered that Peter Alford, 24, of Maxwell Road, Garden City, had been stealing money from his girlfriend's roommate's closet. He was arrested without incident at the scene.
Police say that a further investigation found multiple videos of child pornography on Alford's computer. Police say the videos were of girls between the ages of 8 and 13 performing sexual acts.

Alford is charged with five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 11 in First District Court in Hempstead.
