Double-Fatal Shooting Under Investigation In Hempstead: Police

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Police are investigating a double fatal shooting that took place in a Hempstead home on Wednesday morning, Nassau County police said.

At about 10:21 a.m. on Aug. 12, police responded to a 911 call at Angevine Avenue and found two people with gunshot wounds inside a house, according to police.

The two people were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Detectives said there is no additional threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
