Police ID Elderly Woman Killed In Nassau Hit-And-Run

UPDATE: Police have identified the woman who was killed as Catarina Didricson, 72, of Garden City Park.

ORIGINAL STORY: A hit-and-run driver killed a senior citizen in Garden City Park Tuesday evening, and police are seeking the public's help to find them.

According to police, a 72-year-old woman was crossing Nassau Boulevard, just south of 7th Street, at 5:41 p.m. when she was hit by an unknown vehicle. The woman suffered multiple traumatic injuries, and was taken to an area hospital, where she died shortly after she arrived.

The woman's identity is being withheld at this time as police notify her family.
