All GCHS Freshmen wanted at the class of 2015 Freshman BBQ on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 6:30-9:00pm at the GCHS! It’s a great way to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. There will be much to eat and drink, including hot dogs and hamburgers from the grill, popcorn from an old-fashioned popcorn machine, and delicious cookies and frozen treats for dessert. There will be ping-pong to play or watch, as well as a DJ and music if you want to dance or simply listen. There will also be many terrific raffle prizes!
A BBQ flyer and student contract were recently mailed home to all freshman parents. All freshmen and their parents must read and sign the contract in order to purchase a ticket to the BBQ. Please send the signed contract and check for $15 (payable to “GCHS”) to the Garden City High School main office. An envelope already addressed to the GCHS has been provided. Additional BBQ flyers and student contracts are available in the main office if needed.
The tickets and raffle tickets will be held for all pre-paid students at the door. Each ticket comes with one raffle ticket. You can’t lose your tickets if you try! And you will definitely want to be included in this year’s raffle! Just wait until you see the prizes! This is one place where we can never get enough assistance from parents!

WE REALLY, REALLY NEED ALL PARENTS’ HELP WITH RAFFLE PRIZES!! It really is true---NO RAFFLE DONATION IS TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL! If anyone is looking for ideas for donations, unisex prizes such as iTunes gift cards, or simply cash are great. We will turn any, and all, cash into appropriate prizes.
The hope every year is that each freshman student will win a raffle. We cannot reach this goal without the parents’ help and generosity! Since we have such involved and caring parents in this school district, we should be able to have a raffle prize for every freshman on September 23, 2011, which would make the BBQ that much more fun!

When you decide on what you want to donate as a raffle prize, here’s all the information you will need. If you have any questions or want to drop off a gift, the following women have offered their time and homes for the raffles:
