Join the conga line for a journey to the very roots of Latin music in America. The heyday of the sizzling Xavier Cugat Orchestra is brought to life with original arrangements of the hits Cugat introduced to American audiences: "My Shawl," "Brazil," "La Cumparsita" and "Mambo #5," to name just a few. Led by New York-based cabaret artist Greg Gomez, this exciting concert features a 13-piece orchestra, the dance team Tango Romantico, and a special appearance by the multitalented Bob Spiotto. Then it's off to the Tropicana Club for an affectionate look at the life and career of Cugat's greatest protégé, Desi Arnaz. Get out your straw hat and sing along to "Cuban Pete," "I Love Lucy", "El Cumbanchero," and of course, "Babalu." These songs all were featured in Greg's award-winning show Babalu-cy!
