Little Sluggers Tournament 7U: Garden City Bombers vs. Ozone Howard

This Little Sluggers Baseball Tournament opens up with the Garden City Bombers versus Ozone Howard, a classic Nassau versus Queens showdown, to be played under the lights at Garden City Community Park.  This teams are for boys that were no older than 7 years old as of this past April 30.

Ozone Howard has a tradition of turning out great baseball teams.  They are coached by Nick LoPrinzi.

Garden City is lead by returning stars Joey Frandina, Daniel Hernandez-Arroyo, Matthew Mohen, Michael Busch, and Kensil Flores, who played with the Bombers last summer.   The Bombers have added rookie shortstop sensation Luke Sibblies, Brady Manning, Patrick Kasson, Steve Manzi, Mario Tapia-Ramos, and Deepuk Edmonds.

"We are rich in left handed pitching prospects", noted Bombers Coach Kyle Manning.  "Frandina, Edmonds, Hernandez-Arroyo, Busch, and Tapia-Ramos are all lefty throwers, and our coaching staff will work with them all over the winter to ensure that we have one of the best left handed pitching corps on Long Island as these kids get older.  This tournament is a chance to introduce them to some of the better teams from New York City, the birthplace of modern baseball."

The Garden City Bombers are part of the Major League Baseball RBI program.  The Bombers consist of half kids from Garden City, the other half come from surrounding neighborhoods such as Hempstead and Roosevelt.  The Bombers are for local families that want their child to play great baseball on a diverse team, using sports to build bridges between our communities.
