
The Garden City Recreation Department is proud to announce its Spring Roller Hockey Program. Whether you played last season or haven't played in a couple of years, now is the perfect time to sign up and experience all the fun.
Applications are being accepted at the Recreation Department's Administrative Office at 108 Rockaway Ave. Applications will be available in St. Paul’s Cluett Hall, our website www.gardencityrecreation.org, and at the Recreation Dept’s administrative office. Please make all checks payable to the “Inc. Village of Garden City.”
A reminder: Each participant is required to wear full equipment at all times. This includes: hockey helmet with cage, hockey gloves, shin pads, elbow pads, roller blades, hockey stick, long pants and a protective cup.

A description of each program we offer is as follows:
Learn & Play Roller Hockey Clinic is for children ages 5-7. This eight-week program will begin March 27 and has been designed to introduce the exciting game of roller hockey. No experience is required in hockey or roller skating as this is a beginners program. This hour long clinic will take place on Sunday late afternoons at 3 and 4:15 p.m. The cost of this eight-week program is $65.

Recreation Department Leagues: Our roller hockey leagues are broken into ages groups. Please pay careful attention as our age groupings and dates/times have changed. Leagues will begin their season March 25 with Player Evaluation Day.
Mites Division is for ages 6 and 7 who have basic skating skills. Since this division is games only, if your child is new to the sport, you should register them for our learn and play clinic. Games will take place on Monday afternoons with either a 4:30 or 5:30 p.m. start, depending on your child’s team schedule. The cost of this program is $65.
Junior Division is for ages 8 and 9 and will play on Friday afternoons at either 4 or 5:30 p.m. depending on your child’s team schedule. The cost of this program is $65.
Senior Division is for ages 10-13 and will play on Friday evenings at either 6:45 or 8 p.m. depending on your child’s team schedule. The cost of this program is $65.
High School Open Hockey is for ages 14 to 16. Games will be played on Sundays at 5:30 p.m. in a “pick up” format. The cost of this program will be $55. Season begins March 27.
Adult Division is for ages 30 and over. Games will take place on Sunday evenings at 7:15 p.m. with an occasional “Friday night under the Lights.” Games are in “pick up” format. The cost of this program is $55. Season begins March 27.
