Join Friends of Hempstead Plains in restoring the native prairie habitat at the 19 acre Hempstead Plains preserve at NCC. Volunteers help cut shrubs, weed non-native plants, collect seeds from native grasses, and more. Wear good shoes, and bring gloves and clippers. We also have community service activities for Scout troops to earn badges.
