Roosevelt Field Mall Fight, False Reports of Shooting Cause Scare
BREAKING: Shoppers dashed for the mall exits Monday evening.

GARDEN CITY, NY – A fight at the Roosevelt Field Mall triggered a mad dash for the exits Monday evening amid false reports of a shooting, police said.
The fight broke out in the mall food court around 6:30 p.m. Several shoppers called police to report a shooting, but police said no shots were fired.
Two people suffered minor injuries in the fight, Newsday reported.

The incident comes exactly a year after a similar scare at the mall. On Dec. 26, 2015, a fight in the food court spread rumors of a shooting. No one was injured in that fight.
