Friday Night Promenades Return To Garden City
The extremely popular weekly events begin this Friday, and run through September.
GARDEN CITY, NY — Garden City's popular Friday Night Promenades are returning this year. Every Friday this summer, residents can enjoy outdoor events on Seventh Street, with a different theme each week.
The Friday Night Promenades are run in conjunction between the village and the Garden City Chamber of Commerce. They run from 6 to 10 p.m. every Friday night. The events are free and open to everyone.
The first promenade begins this week, and continues through mid-September.

- June 10: Belmont Stakes Promenade
- June 17: St Patrick’s Day
- June 24: Sock Hop and Doowop
- July 1: Red White & Blue

- Aug. 5: Back to the 80’s
- Aug. 12: Fly Me to the Moon
