Garden City Budget Passes By Big Margin

GARDEN CITY, NY — Garden City residents went to the polls on Tuesday. The Garden City Public Schools 2023-2024 budget was approved by a margin of 1,177 to 375, the district said.

The budget is $130,282,491 with a tax levy increase of 2.32%.

Liz Gaffney was elected to the Board of Education with 604.

At the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District, the budget was approved by voters, 528-282, the district announced.

Proposition #2 passsed 558-256.

Incumbent James Reddan (603) ran unopposed for the Board of Education. The second seat was write-in candidate Danielle Messina (54).
