Garden City welcomes broadway legend Tommy Tune

Broadway legend and nine-time Tony winner Tommy Tune will perform a medley of show tunes, dances and share tales of the great white way at Garden City’s Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AUPAC). Tickets are still available for this show, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall, located at 1 South Avenue.

Join Tommy Tune, in his premiere performance on the Adelphi Stage, as he takes a song-and-dance stroll through his career and reflects on his 55th year in show business. From his arrival in New York as a fresh-faced kid from Texas, Mr. Tune will travel through his most popular roles on stage and screen, to his ascension as one of the country’s most accomplished director-choreographers.

Accompanied by Michael Biagi, his pianist and musical director for nearly four decades, Mr. Tune’s musical journey includes personal renditions of standards by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Burt Bacharach, the Gershwins and more in this unique and masterful evening.
