Garden City's Friday Night Promenades Begin This Week

Get ready to have a great time in downtown Garden City this week, and every Friday throughout the summer.

The Garden City Friday Night Promenades are back for the fourth year, and this year promises to be the best yet. And the fun starts this Friday at 6 p.m.

Now a popular tradition in the village, the Friday Night Promenade began as a way to capture the fun of the Belmont Fair every weekend. Each Friday features a different theme and allows residents and guests to walk around the downtown without fear of traffic, dine outside, enjoy live music and entertainment, and much more.

  • June 23: Fiesta Friday
  • June 30: Pirates and Mermaids
  • July 7: Red, White and Blue
  • July 14: Rock of Ages
  • July 21: Christmas in July
  • July 28: Country Western
  • Aug. 4: Swing into Seventh
  • Aug. 11: New York State of Mind
  • Aug. 18: St. Patrick’s Day
  • Aug. 25: Sock Hop and Doo-Wop
