Gillen Locked Out Of Town Hall Rooms During Scheduled Tour
The incoming supervisor says Santino locked her out of viewing her new office.

Town of Hempstead Superviso-Elect Laura Gillen said that she was barred by the outgoing administration from viewing some areas of Town Hall during a scheduled tour of the building on Tuesday.
Gillen, who defeated Anthony Santino to wrest control of the Town of Hempstead from the Republicans for the first time in a century, was scheduled to tour the Town Hall building on Tuesday. Yet, she says that Santino and others kept her from viewing parts of the building.
Specifically, Gillen said Santino locked her out of his office, which will be hers after her inauguration on Jan. 1.

Gillen said that the Public Safety officer was going to open the office for her, but but Steve D'Esposito, father of Councilman Anthony D'Esposito and Santino's chief of staff, stopped them from unlocking the door.
Correction: The original version of this story said that Gillen was prohibited from seeing the Public Safety department, which was incorrect.
