Girls Lacrosse Remains Undefeated
The GC girls are off and running on their way to another fantastic lax season.
The Lady Trojans played host for a non league game against Wilton, Ct. on Monday evening and delivered a 13-5 victory for their home fans. The Garden City girls scored the game's first 7 goals and kept Wilton on their heels with strong counterattacks, solid defense and a fast attack throughout the first half. The Warriors did get on the score sheet with three goals in the last ten minutes to tighten the halftime score to 9-3.
The second half was more of the same with Garden City holding off continued attacks by Warriors but outscoring them 4-2 to close out the game with the final score of 13-5.
