Healthcare Worker Punched Elderly Woman In Face: Nassau Police
Police say she was employed at a Nassau assisted living facility when she assaulted the 92-year-old woman.
Nassau County Police arrested a healthcare worker at an assisted living facility whom they say assaulted an elderly resident.
According to police, Andrea B. Richards, 48, of St. Albans, worked at an assisted living facility in East Garden City. On Feb. 10, police say she punched a 92-year-old woman in the face, giving her a black eye.
Richards was arrested without incident at her home at 10:40 p.m. on Feb. 11.

Richards was charged with second-degree assault, endangering an incompetent person and endangering the welfare of the elderly. She was arraigned on Feb. 13 in First District Court in Hempstead.
