Hempstead Town Sets Up Hotline For Residents To Access Services
With town offices closed, the new hotline is the fastest way to get help from the town government.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Town of Hempstead Supervisor Don Clavin announced new ways residents can reach town services as Town Hall closes until further notice.
With Town Hall closed, residents may not be able to access essential town services. To help residents, Clavin announced the establishment of a new auto-attendant system that can be used by residents to leave a message and schedule a telephone conference with personnel from the offices of the building department, town clerk, receiver of taxes and the parks department. Residents can do so by calling (516) 812-3600. You can also send questions via email to Tohbuildingquestions@tohmail.org, Tohtownclerkquestions@tohmail.org, Tohtaxquestions@tohmail.org and Tohparksquestions@tohmail.org.
For other departments, please send an email. For a departmental list of email addresses, visit the town’s online directory. The main number town at 516-489-5000 is still operating during normal business hours, but due to limited staff at town offices, it is highly recommended residents use the new hotline or send an email for the fastest response.
