Saturday was the official start to the 2013 baseball and softball seasons in Garden City. The Garden City Athletic Association (GCAA) teams kicked things off with their annual parade from Village Parking Field 9E, down Franklin Avenue and up Seventh Street wrapping up for the first pitch at the Village Gazebo.
The parade was led by GCAA President Al Vanesco, the Trustees and Mayor John Watras and included teams from baseball, softball and the Challenger Divisions.
