
Northeast-10 Women's Basketball Weekly Report
South Easton, Mass. - Adelphi University women's basketball junior Sade Jackson was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for the second week in a row, earning Co-Player of the Week honors along with Bianca Simmons of UMass Lowell. Jackson was joined by junior Jessica Kitrys and sophomore Kelly Mannix, who were each named to the Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season.
Jackson posted two triple-doubles last week, giving her three triple-doubles over her last three games. The junior captain averaged 14.5 points, 11.5 assists and 11.0 rebounds per game while shooting 61.1 percent (11-18) from the floor. She totaled 19 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists against New Haven on Wednesday before going for 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in a win over Mercy on Sunday.
Mannix paced the offense with 21.5 points per game, highlighted by a career-high 27 points in Sunday's win. She averaged 8.5 rebounds and connected on six three-pointers during the week.
Kitrys turned in a pair of solid efforts, averaging 17 points, 7.5 rebounds and three blocks per game. On Sunday, Kitrys posted her first 20-point game of the season, dropping 22 points on the Mavericks while swatting five shots.
The Panthers return to action on Wednesday when they head to the College of Saint Rose for an NE-10 contest at 5:30 p.m.
