Jewelry Stolen From Saks Off 5th; Man Sought For Robbery: Police
It happened at the East Garden City store just after 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
EAST GARDEN CITY, NY — The Saks Off 5th store in East Garden City was robbed late Monday afternoon.
Nassau police say an unknown man entered the store on Old Country Road just after 5:30 p.m.
He walked to the jewelry counter, reached over to open the case and removed some gold jewelry, police said.

The employee attempted to close the case but the man forced it open, causing a cut to her arm. He continued to empty jewelry from behind the counter and exited.
He fled in a four-door black Mazda CX5 eastbound on Old Country Road toward Westbury.

The female victim, 50, refused medical attention.
