LI MS-13 Member Sexually Abused, Tried To Murder Toddler

He pleaded guilty to trying to murder three women in one night, one of whom was a toddler he sexually assaulted.

An MS-13 gang member from Hempstead pleaded guilty yesterday to all of the charges against him, including attempted murder and sexually assaulting a 2-year-old girl.

Tommy Alvarado-Ventura, 33, also known as Montana, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to first-degree attempted murder, two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, three counts of second-degree attempted murder, four counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree strangulation, and first-degree sex abuse.

Alvarado-Ventura is due back in court on March 20. Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas said that he is likely to be sentenced to 26 years to life in prison.

“In a few short hours, this defendant committed a series of heinous, violent acts that permanently injured three female victims that he attempted to murder, including a two-year-old child that he sexually brutalized,” Singas said. “Tommy Alvarado-Ventura is one of the most dangerous and vicious people we have ever seen in Nassau County and everyone is safer with him behind bars for life.”

According to Singas, around 2:30 a.m. on March 22, 2017, Alvarado-Ventura tried to kill a woman outside the El Mariachi Loco Bar in Hempstead by stabbing and slashing her. The woman had tried to talk to Alvarado-Ventura about a disagreement, and he stabbed and slashed her in her back, thigh and hands. He then put the knife inside her mouth and slashed the corner of her face, leaving her with permanent scarring.

As Alvarado-Ventura was assaulting the woman, Singas said that another man, Antony Almendarez, stopped people from intervening to help her. The two men fled the bar when they realized people were calling police. The woman Alvarado-Ventura attacked suffered a collapsed lung, nerve damage to her fingers and permanent scarring.

After fleeing the scene and splitting up with Almendarez, Alvarado-Ventura went to his girlfriend's apartment in Hempstead, where he was supposed to watch her children while she worked. While he was there, he sexually assaulted his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter, beat her about the face and strangled her in an attempt to kill her.

When his girlfriend returned, Alvarado-Ventura tried to murder her as well by beating her and stabbing her in her arms, hands and neck.

Alvarado-Ventura was arrested at his girlfriend's home after police were called. All three women that he assaulted were taken to NYU Winthrop Hospital, where police were able to interview them and connect Alvarado-Ventura to all the attacks.

Almendarez pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree assault on April 5, 2018.
