Library Friends Sponsor Free Concert "Springtime in Song"

Friends of the Garden City Public Library will sponsor a FREE concert “Springtime in Song” performed by vocalist/pianist Mitch Kahn on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Garden City Public Library located at 60 Seventh St., Garden City, NY. Hear favorite melodies from America’s 20th century including Broadway & Hollywood musicals. Enjoy timeless classics like: “Younger Than Springtime,” “Blue Skies,” & “It Might As Well Be Spring.” Be entertained with selections by Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, the Gershwins, & much more.

Mitch has performed at dozens of New York City’s notable venues, including The Rainbow Room, Sardi’s, Tavern on the Green & the Copacabana and has appeared on numerous syndicated radio & TV programs. As one of New York’s top society pianists & orchestra leaders entertaining for private, corporate & charity events, his is a familiar face at the multitude of hotels, private clubs, restaurants & specialty banquet facilities across North America.
