Loaded Gun Recovered From Car; 3 Arrested In Nassau County: Police

GARDEN CITY, NY — Three people, who were driving in Uniondale, were found with a loaded gun in the vehicle on Tuesday night, police said.

After officers noticed a 2018 Mercedes Benz G30 on Nassau Road not signaling when changing lanes, they stopped the vehicle just after 9:30 p.m.

A loaded Glock 42 handgun was recovered from inside the car, authorities said.

Daja Cortijo, 23, of Central Islip; Lamar Gadsden, 22, of Massapequa and Jamal Luciano, 18, of Copiague, were charged with second-degree and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a firearm.

They were scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
