The woman said she refused to get in the car, saying that she had done nothing wrong and was just trying to walk to her friend's house. She claimed the officer said, "Get in, or you're going in cuffs."
She said she complied because she was afraid of being arrested. The officer drove to a large parking lot on Cathedral Avenue, parked in the back, and proceeded to rape her, according to the suit. She said the officer told her, "This has been a long time coming."
The officer drove her to Mulford Street in Hempstead and told her to get out of the car and threatened her, according to the suit. He said, "Don’t you say anything. And don’t let me see you or I’m getting you," according to the suit.
The woman wanted to go to the hospital after the attack but was afraid that the officer would find out if she did and she was worried about reprisals, the suit says. She said the attack left her psychologically scarred and in need of counseling.
