Man Caught Breaking Into Roosevelt Field Bloomingdale's: Police
Robert Ardoin is also responsible for two other department store burglaries at the mall, Nassau police say.

EAST GARDEN CITY, NY — A Uniondale man is accused of committing a series of Roosevelt Field burglaries.
Robert Ardoin, 45, was arrested Tuesday night after he was spotted tampering with a cash register after hours at Bloomingdale's, Nassau police said.
Ardoin refused officers' verbal commands multiple times while holding a crowbar over his head, authorities said.

Officers had to use a Taser to place him into custody, police said.
Ardoin was taken to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.

An investigation determined that during Tuesday's burglary, Ardoin damaged 15 cash registers and stole approximately $3,000 from Bloomingdale's, police said.
He was also linked to Roosevelt Field burglaries on May 2 at Bloomingdale's and March 4, 2021 at Macy's.
Ardoin faces charges that include three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of menacing a police officer and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief.
He was scheduled for arraignment on Thursday.
