Man Charged In Murder Of Nassau Teen: Police
Police say Jayden Woods shot and killed 17-year-old Omarion Jackson in December.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — Nassau County police arrested a Hempstead man and charged him with murder for the shooting death of a teen last December.
According to police, Hempstead police officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification in front of a home on Dartmouth Street at 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 21, 2020. When they arrived, they found 17-year-old Omarion Jackson lying in front of the home with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his wounds.

On Wednesday, police arrested Jayden Woods, 21, of Stewart Avenue, Hempstead, for the killing.
Woods is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today.
