Man Hospitalized After Being Struck With Cell Phone Advertisement
Nassau Police say an argument between two men became heated, and led to one hitting the other with a metal sign.
A man was left in serious condition in the hospital after he was struck in the head with a metal sign during an argument, Nassau Police said.
According to police, Edgar Hernandez, 26, got into an argument with a 57-year-old man in front of 391 Fulton Ave. in Hempstead at 2:19 p.m. on Jan. 24. Police say that Hernandez took a metal Boost Mobil advertising sign and hit the other man in the head. When police arrived, Hernandez was arrested without incident.
The man was taken to a hospital with head trauma, and is listed in serious condition.

Hernandez is charged with first-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned on Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
