Man Robbed Nassau Cell Phone Store At Gunpoint
Police say he threatened the store's employee and then made off with cash.
Nassau Police are looking for a man who robbed a Hempstead cell phone store at gunpoint Monday night.
According to police, a man wearing a mask and gloves entered the Metro PCS store at 652 Fulton Ave. at 7:55 p.m. He pulled out a black handgun and ordered the only employee in the store, a 25-year-old woman, to put her hands up and go to the back of the store.
The robber then demanded the woman get under a desk and asked her where the cell phones and cash were kept. The woman told him, and the man stole the cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The woman was not injured. Police did not release a description of the robber.
Police ask anyone with information about this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
