WATCH: Man Snatches $20,000 From Jewelry From Store, Then Flees

Nassau police are searching for a man who snatched more than $20,000 worth of jewelry from a store in the Roosevelt Field Mall and then fled.
According to police, employees at Markens Jewelers, located inside the mall, were trying to make a sale to a man Friday night when he grabbed the merchandise from the employee's hands and fled the store on foot. One of the employees chased the man to an exit on the north/east side of the mall. The man got into a white Nissan Sentra and fled in an unknown direction. He stole a ring and pair of earrings worth more than $20,000.
Police say the robber was a black man, 6 feet tall and approximately 190 pounds, wearing a green knit hat, blue jeans and a black and white jacket.
