Man Robbed Nassau Pharmacy At Knifepoint

BREAKING: Police say he threatened the pharmacist in a brazen daytime robbery of pills. No one was injured.

Nassau Police are searching for a man who stole opioids from a pharmacy at knifepoint Wednesday.

According to police, the man entered Twin Parks Pharmacy, located at 2226 Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park, at 11:15 a.m. He approached the pharmacist, pulled out a knife and demanded OxyContin. The pharmacist complied and the man fled the store with an undetermined amount of prescription pills.

There was one other employee in the store at the time and no customers. No one was injured.

The robber was a Hispanic man, 19 to 25 years-old, about 6-feet tall with a thin build and tattoos on his neck, chest and arms. Police ask that anyone with information about this robbery call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
