Man Suffers Critical Injuries From Nassau Crash: Police

HEMPSTEAD, NY — A man, who was crossing Peninsula Boulevard at South Franklin Street, was struck by a 2020 Mercedes Benz on Sunday morning in Hempstead.

The 60-year-old victim suffered serious head trauma and was taken to a nearby hospital. He is listed in critical but stable condition, police said.

The driver remained at the accident. A brake check was performed on the vehicle.

Police are investigating.
