Men On The Move Supports North Shore Animal League America

Syosset, NY; November 9, 2017 – Mara Navaretta of Woodbury, Founder, Owner and President of Homes By Mara Realty of Syosset, recently presented North Shore Animal League America with a $2,500 check on behalf of her agency in support of the nonprofit organization. The check presentation took place during a special adoption event that Navaretta held at her agency parking lot so that the Port Washington-headquartered organization could bring its dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption to the Syosset community through the convenience of North Shore Animal League America's 40' Mobile Unit. Joining Navaretta and her agency in supporting North Shore Animal League America during the adoption event held at her agency was Men On The Move of Floral Park, which served as event catering sponsor and donated $50 to the organization for every adoption that took place that day. All who adopted were able to take their new "best friend" home that same day.

As an animal lover who rescued two dogs of her own, one from North Hempstead Animal Shelter and the other from Second Chance Rescue, Navaretta is passionate about promoting the adoption of rescue animals along with North Shore Animal League America's mission and says she is delighted to be in the position to contribute to help support the organization. "North Shore Animal League America has always been synonymous with the essence of humanity in its animal rescue and no-kill commitment," explains Navaretta. "It is because of its long-standing promise to rescue, nurture, adopt and educate that I wanted to donate to this important organization and support the difference it makes in preserving the health and welfare of animals as well as its pursuit in finding its animals loving homes."
