Men Robbed At Gunpoint While Sitting In Car: Nassau Police

Police say the robber hit the two men in the face with his gun as he went through their pockets.

UNIONDALE, NY — Two men were robbed at gunpoint while sitting in a car in Uniondale Friday, and police are seeking the public's help to find the man responsible.

According to police, two men, ages 45 and 50, were sitting in a car in the back parking lot of 971 Nassau Rd. at 3:24 p.m. when they were approached by another man. The man asked the two for money, and they refused. Police say he then pulled out a black handgun and hit both of the men in the face while going through their pockets. The robber then fled on foot north on Ditmas Avenue.

The robber was a black man, about 19 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 140 pounds, with black braided hair and brown eyes. He was wearing ripped blue jeans and a white T-shirt.

Police ask anyone with information about this robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244 TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
