
Garden City, N.Y. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association has released the ninth poll of the 2013 regular season earlier this afternoon. With two more wins this week, one of which came over a top-three team, the Panthers advanced back up to the #2 spot and currently boast a 12-1 overall record.
The Brown and Gold hit the road for conference contest against American International on Monday night and came away with the 22-4 victory. They faced the then #3 Merrimack Warriors at home on Saturday and used a late fourth quarter rally to turn away the conference foe by a score of 11-10.
Mercyhurst retained the top spot while Limestone dropped to #3. Le Moyne moved up one spot to #4 while LIU-Post checks in at #5, a two spot advance. Seton Hill remains at #6 while Merrimack slipped four spots to tie with NYIT for the seventh slot. St. Michael's and Dowling hold steady at #9 and #10 respectively while Pfeiffer and Lake Erie round out the bottom two teams in that order.
The ninth USILA Poll will be announced next Monday, April 29, 2013.
