Middle School Named 'No Place For Hate' In Classroom

The recognition was given by the local chapter of the Anti-Defamation League.

GARDEN CITY, NY — Students and staff of Garden City Middle School got special recognition.

They were named a "No Place for Hate" school by the Anti-Defamation League New York/New Jersey chapter.

Reading teacher Dr. Kim Greenwald and special education teacher Jenn Pollack lead the school's Anti-Bullying Task Force.

"The middle school years are a complex and challenging experience for all of our learners,” Garden City Middle School Principal Matthew Samuelson said. "It is a fundamental part of our work that we do everything in our power to create a learning environment that is safe, comfortable and engaging for all."

The school received an NPFH banner to display.
