NASSAU COUNTY, NY — As businesses all across the state are shut down due to the coronavirus, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced she was creating a task force dedicated to tracking the economic impact here in the county.
Curran announced the plan at a news conference Tuesday morning. The task force will track the lost revenue in every Nassau County industry so that the losses can hopefully be recouped. Hofstra University will be leading the effort by collecting and analyzing the data.
