Nassau Man Attacked 2 Women, Tried To Kill 1: Police
Police say he fired six shots at a woman who was running away from him after an argument. He had been previously released without bail.

ROOSEVELT, NY — A Roosevelt man was arrested Saturday after police say he attacked two different women, firing multiple shots at one of them in an attempt to kill her.
According to police, officers responded to a call at a home on Grenada Avenue in Roosevelt around 12:30 a.m. Saturday for a disturbance. Police say that Ronald Jackson, 37, of Grenada Avenue, got into an argument with a woman he knew. The argument turned physical, and police say Jackson punched the woman in the face multiple times, threw her to the ground, pulled her hair and threatened her with a machete.
As the officers tried to place Jackson under arrest, police say he actively resisted. After a struggle, he was placed into custody, and police say they found a loaded handgun in his pocket.
