Nassau Man Kicked Dog So Hard It Flew Into The Air And Died: PD
Police say the man got into an argument with the dog's owners and then kicked it, sending it 15 feet into the air.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — A Hempstead man was arrested Tuesday after police say he kicked a dog so hard it flew into the air and later died.
According to police, at 1:15 p.m. on March 14, a 56-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man were walking their dogs near St. Pauls Place and Stevens Avenue in Hempstead when they were approached by Peter Galantino, 58. The three got into an argument, police said, and then Galantino kicked one of the dogs, lifting it about 15 feet off the ground.
The couple took the dog to the West Hempstead Animal Hospital, where it was pronounced dead.
