Nassau Police Break Up Large Party, Town Condemns House

A 20-year-old was taken to a hospital with alcohol poisoning. One man was arrested for hosting the party.

A Uniondale man was arrested on Wednesday for violating the Social Host Law for a large party with many underage drinkers.

According to police, officers responded to a call for a drunk and unconscious woman at 1090 Braxton St. in Uniondale. When they arrived, the officers found a large group of teens drinking in the front of the house and loud music coming from inside, police said. The house was full of people, police said, many of whom appeared to be under 21.

Officers located the 20-year-old woman inside the house and she was transported to a hospital for treatment. Police say an thorough investigation was conducted and Anthony Pellegrino, 21, who lived at the house, was arrested.

A Town of Hempstead Building inspector issued multiple summonses, deemed the house unfit for human occupancy and secured it.

Pellegrino was charged with violating the Social Host Law. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to First District Court in Hempstead on Aug. 6.
