Nassau Police ID Man Killed In Road Rage Crash
Police say the 22-year-old man was killed after another driver hit his car, causing him to lose control and drive into a tree.
Nassau County police have identified the man who was killed in a road rage crash in Hempstead early Tuesday morning.
Police say that Jimmy Hayes, 22, of Hempstead, was killed after the car he was driving was hit and spun off the road.
According to police, Police say that Dana King Jr., 23, of Abermarle Avenue, Valley Stream, was driving a 2009 Audi and was following Hayes, who was driving a 2007 BMW, after the two got into an argument on the road in Valley Stream.

While heading north on Baldwin Road in Hempstead, police say that King hit the rear of Hayes' car, causing it to strike a tree. King's car then struck an unoccupied, parked taxi cab.
Hempstead Police responded to the scene and took the female passenger of the BMW to a nearby hospital, where she is listed in critical but stable condition. Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene. King was arrested at the scene.

King was taken to a hospital after his arrest for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries that he sustained in the crash. He is charged with second-degree manslaughter, and will be arraigned when medically practical.
