Nassau Police ID Man Murdered In Hempstead
He was found shot to death on a street in the village early Monday. Police are still investigating.
Nassau Police have identified the man who was found shot to death in Hempstead early Monday morning.
According to police, officers responded to a Shot Spotter activation on Burnett Street at 2:25 a.m. When they arrived, they found 33-year-old Jose Leonardo Sanchez, of Hempstead, lying on the ground in front of a home on the street. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
