Police say the car crossed into opposite lanes and caused two others to crash. Two people were hurt.

Nassau police have identified a man who died in a car crash Tuesday afternoon and say they are still investigating the incident.
According to police, Raymond G. Wooden, 47, was driving a 1997 Geo with a 42-year-old female passenger west on Fulton Avenue in Hempstead, near Clinton Street, at 12:33 p.m. Police say Wooden's car crossed the lanes and struck a 2009 Honda traveling east, which was occupied by a 40-year-old woman and 40-year-old man. The Honda then side-swiped a 2017 Ford, which was also traveling east, being driven by a 36-year-old man.
The occupants of the Ford and Honda suffered no injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene. Wooden and his passenger were taken to a local hospital. The passenger was treated for head and neck trauma. Wooden died from his injuries at 11:54 p.m. that night.
