The suspect took off with another driver in a gray Kia on Saturday evening in North New Hyde Park, police say.

NORTH NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A man's recently purchased Apple Watch was stolen during a stop for a red light in North New Hyde Park, authorities said.

It happened Saturday evening after the victim left the Apple Store in Roosevelt Field. As he stopped near the intersection of Lakeville Road and Fairfield Lane, a gray Kia SUV stopped behind the victim's vehicle. The man, holding a center punch tool, broke the victim's rear driver-side window. The suspect removed the Apple Watch and got back into his Kia, driven by a woman, police said.

They fled east on Evergreen Avenue.
