Police: 16 Arrested in Hempstead Underage Drinking Bust

The workers at three Hempstead bars were arrested during a State Liquor Authority investigation on Friday morning, police said.

Sixteen workers at three Hempstead bars were arrested for knowingly selling alcoholic beverages to minors following a State Liquor Authority investigation that began at 2:45 a.m. Friday, police said.

According to authorities, all of the workers who were arrested knowingly served alcohol to an undercover agent who was younger than 21 years old.

The following three bars were closed for the night following the investigation:

  • Mchebes Bar, located at 722 Fulton Ave.
  • Dizzy Lizard Bar, located at 736 Fulton Ave.
  • Bangers Bar, located at 774 Fulton Ave.

Four workers at Mchebes Bar, five workers at the Dizzy Lizard and seven workers at Bangers Bar were arrested and charged with NYS Alcohol Beverage and Control Law, Prohibited Sale Alcoholic Beverage and NYS Penal Law Unlawful Dealing with a Child.

  • Jonathan D. Moisan, 24, of Roslyn
  • Brandon Hecker, 19, of Farmingdale
  • Gabriel “Joseph” Romano, 20, of Turnsville, NJ
  • Joseph Brady, 20, of Smithtown

The employees arrested at the Dizzy Lizard include:

  • Anthony Michael DeLuca, 23, of Levittown
  • Braidan N. Halbleib, 21, of Hempstead
  • Brandon Sherman, 19, of Island Park
  • Armand M. Touhamy, 21, of Dix Hills
  • Miranda S. Gray, 18, of Pasadena MD

The employees arrested at Bangers Bar include:

  • Brandyn R. Williams, 24, of Garden City Park
  • Jessica M. Pallotti, 20, of Annandale, NJ
  • Gianna M. Gallo, 21, of Port Washington
  • Eric Hassell, 20, of Massapequa
  • Marion E. Davidson, 21, of Metuchen, NJ
  • Cemil Turan, 23, of Glen Cove
  • Robert Verderosa Jr., 38, of Bellmore

They will all be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

An East Meadow man was also arrested after he blocked the road, impeded the proper flow of traffic and did not listen to police when he was told to move to safety, police said. Anthony Gomes, 20, was charged with disorderly conduct.
